DESCRIPTION
The Ultra line of stabilizers is a best seller for a good reason. The choice of Olympic and World Champions, Ultra Stabilizer offers a stiff, light-weight, wind-efficient shooting experience for archers using up to moderate end weight. An evolution of the original 0.500” stabilizer, the small cross-sectional area minimizes the effect of crosswinds when shooting outdoors, and the low mass of the carbon layup lets archers concentrate all of their weight on the distal end, maximizing the rod’s leverage and stability while aiming.
Ultra 3 stabilizers come standard filled with proprietary VIBRO-Core internal damping material, dramatically reducing post-shot vibration. Additionally, the Steve Wijler Edition Tungsten Damping option includes 3oz of tungsten powder added into the distal end of the rod, doubling as a dual-density vibration damper and internal weight, further cutting down wind drag by reducing the number of weights on your rod!

The Ultra 3 stabilizers can be used by just about all archers but are most commonly preferred by recurve archers looking for a high performing, small-diameter stabilizer to be used in windy conditions. Compound shooters using less weight may also find the Ultras a great option. As a rough guide, Ultra 3 stabilizers comfortably hold up to 11 oz on the front rod. Side rods can comfortably hold approximately double the mass weight for similar reactions.

These were my first Ramrods and I was very impressed. The 0.5” outside diameter really makes a difference in the wind even compared to other slim, but not quite so slim, rods. I run quite a light set up (4oz max on any given rod) and I don’t find them to be too stiff for this at all. Great feedback through the system, no stray vibrations but responsive enough to let me know if I messed up the shot.

The ultra v3s give an amazing crisp feel with amazing dampening technology. I currently use 15” side rods and a 30” long rod, all with tungsten damping in them and they are so stiff for being a half inch stabiliser. I really recommend them because you barely move in the wind because of the thin diameter and you can still run quite a lot of weight and have the shot still feel crisp.

Stabilizers that divide your life into “before” and “after”. Once I tried them from another archer and never wanted to go back to mine. The bow became much quieter, aiming became more comfortable, and the group of arrows immediately became more compact. A feeling of complete harmony when shooting. I went with 27" long rod and 13.5" side rods which turned out to be the perfect balance for me. Highly recommend P.S. less vibration for your baby :)

I was instantly hitting bullseyes at 40 meters after keeping it but I don’t like that they stopped stocking the side rods which is 15 inch because that is what I need to win and get better so I am not happy about that

I love the design and colour! They do turn heads. Nice and slim, really lightweight. They provide a lovely feeling shot response. I've also used the tungsten dampening version, those do a good job in removing a lot of the residual hum in the shot, making it feel really firm and snappy!

Hands down the best stabilizers I've used. Windy conditions? No problem with these bars. The low profile keeps you on target during windy conditions. Gone are the days of watching flags and waiting for the wind to die allowing for a shot. The bars are solid. Shot feels great and the vibration is significantly lower while running these bars. VERY happy with the purchase. Not only was there a noticeable different feel in the shot and the wind, but I saw improved results in scores. That's what really matters when it comes down to it. One of the things that I noticed immediately was the stability during really heavy winds. I would recommend the Standard Vibrocore Internal Dumping for not very heavy poundage. They work great and along with the Stainless steel weights they create the perfect combination for your shooting. +Bonus: great design!

I bought some of Ramrods Archery's original high-mod stabilizers when they were first released. I found them to be a vast improvement over the large, bulky stabilizers that were available at the time. I have since moved on to the Ultra V3 stabilizer and side rods with the standard vibrocore dampening. Ramrods Archery has clearly continued to improve upon an already great product. The V3 is light weight, allowing for fine tuning of the balance without needing to add an enormous amount of mass weight to the entire bow system. I have used as much as 11 ounces, without any noticeable "whippy" feeling during the shot. Coupled with the tungsten powder weights, the bow is very quiet and pleasant to shoot. For reference, my set up is 27" center, 12" side, 9 ounces of total weights on each rod. 68" bow, holding 47#.

I really love this stabilizer on my recurve bow. It's working great in the wind, especially in comparison to my old stabilizer, the design is really nice and I've got no problems with vibrations (shooting 42 lbs and 8-9 oz on the front rod). There are only two points why I would not give a five-star rating. One minor point is the design because the stabilizer is really shiny. It is no problem with normal light, but in the evening we are always shooting against the sun on our archery range and I think a more beamless one would glare me less. But normally you are not shooting against the sun in official tournaments, so it is only a small problem. The other point is, that it is not working on my compound. I'm shooting a 37" Podium with around 57 lbs with spiral pro cams and the bow feels very aggressive. I'm shooting less weight on the compound stabilizer (only 6 oz) than on the recurve and also a Beiter v box with many different dampening options. But I was not able to reduce the vibration properly, probably because the Ultra V3 is not stiff enough. Fortunatley there are other Ramrods stabilizers fitting better for this case, like the Vektor, which solved my compound problem.

After I got my Ultra V3 Steve Wijler set, I have been receiving comments like, your bow sounds really nice, it barely makes any noise after the shot. I was also to reduce the length of my front rod and I got more weight on my system making the response after the shot way better. I also feel the wind conditions affect me less than what they used to do because my teammates keep complaining as I used to do and I no longer do. That’s when I tell them it’s because you have not switched to RamRods!

I've been using the Ultra's V3 for quite some time right now and I'm never going to change it! Every shot (even the not perfect ones) feel so smooth and stable, my follow-through was never so clean. The sound of my bow (Hoyt Xceed with WiaWis limbs) also changed dramatically but all for better, like there's not movement at all! What's also worth pointing out is the aiming in windy conditions - the Ultras are doing an amazing job, I actually am able to sustain my draw and stance, which wasn't easy on my older stabilisers, and I've tried several ones. Overall its appearance and finish-ups are the top shelf ones and ever since I got them I wouldn't trade them for anything else!

I first started with the Vektor Steve Wijler edition stabilizer, and though the Vektor stabilizers seemed to have a much better sound and vibration reaction, I felt that if I used a setup with any less weight my bow would not react so favorably. That's where the Ultra Stabilizers came in; to be honest they really surprised me, because the shot felt so clean and sturdy. If you're a recurve archery with a stabilizer setup with anything less than 5 oz per rod, I would definitely go for these over the Vektormodel. They produce a similar sensation to them, but also taper out a lot more vibration due to the Ultra being a little less stiff. The finishing touches and overall appearance of the model is also top-notch. And if you want the best of the best, definitely go for the Wijler edition, the cost gap is really worth having those tighter groups.

This is a high quality stabilizer which isn’t that stiff (like the Vektor). I would recommend this one to everyone without a really high draw weight and without a lot of weight on the stabilizers ( like woman or youth shooters). I’m shooting 42lbs and I’ve never had a stabilizer which made my bow standing that stable while the shot. The Ultra V3 made my aiming easier (before testing I’ve never thought that I would feel such a big difference between stabilizers - and I seriously tested a lot of different brands) and it helped me to get a nice follow-through.

I bought my first set of RamRods at the SoCal Showdown in 2016. As a recurve archer, I was excited by the prospect of stabilizers built for recurve archers by recurve archers. RamRods were the first rods that felt like they belonged on my recurve setup. The brands I had used previously felt like compound rods tweaked to "work" for recurve bows. I've been shooting with the Ultra V3's this outdoor season and I love them. They are perfect for windy conditions. I know everyone says that, but I was shocked that it felt so much better than my old stabilizers. You will not fly away because of the wind, while you're at anchor. With the internal Vibro- Core damping, all vibrations are gone and you have no hand shock. It feels clean and nothing hurts. I'm currently shooting with the shortest stabilizer system with less weight and they still work and damp great. I will definitely be shooting these stabilizers for a long time and fully recommend them.

I have been using the Ultra V3 stabilization for 3 years now. I regularly had tennis elbow with the other stabilizations I used in the past. But since I use the Ultra V3, this is no longer the case. The damping is exactly what I was looking for (and I hope it is for you). I love the design with the black color and red lettering. It gives a great look. I shoot a recurve bow with 41.5 pounds and I can say that, from far, the Ultra V3 with Tungstène Vibrocore is just amazing. 30 and 15 inches, 8 oz on the long rods and 6 oz on the side rods gave me the result I needed, a perfectly balanced bow with amazing dampening. I'm really happy with this stabilization and so is my elbow

I used these stabilizers for many years and never had any problems what so ever. They are thin and light so you can add all the weights you need to the end of the stabilizers. The feel of the shot became much smoother than with what I previously had. Also the graphics look still as if they were new after many years of use so sun and rain have little to none effect on the looks, thats not the case with all stabilizers out there so great quality over all!

The Ultra V3's aren't your average stabilizers. Not only do they perform well in all weather conditions, but the 30" (which I use as my long rod) has the perfect weight balance for beati- I mean disciplining the JOAD archers with. Additionally, they're definitely built to last; I haven't seen a single scratch or scuff on my stabilizers despite daily shooting and frequent, um, disciplining. Also, with angle adjustments using the EDGE adjustable v-bar, the 13.5" side rods can be used as a boomerang (WARNING: make sure the area is clear of all small children and pets before attempting).
